This is a 40 minute symphony, composed as part of the composer's MusB portfolio. There are 4 movements, Moderato, Scherzo (Allegro molto), Andante, Passacaglia (con moto, alla breve). It remains is manuscript form.

Several orchestral interludes from this full length opera have been performed as concert items: these include the Prelude, the Soldiers' Song, the interlude after the storm (between scenes 5 & 6), the Passacaglia, and the Interlude (between scenes 7 & 8) and finale.

This is a four-movement work for string orchestra, first performed as part of the Yorkshire Composers Festival in St Bede's Church Leeds in 1999 conducted by the composer. The movements are Allegretto, Scherzando, Andante and Allegro moderato.
